There was a recent pst somewhere here on TMP showing som painted Confederate 28mm figures- wearing their jackets inside out. Anyone point me to it please?

Cerdic15 Jul 2015 1:24 p.m. PST

Inside out? Is this some sort of 'dirty underpants' scenario….?

bruntonboy15 Jul 2015 1:29 p.m. PST

Oh dear it was a serious request….apparently some rebel unit turned their dark blue jackets inside out to prevent friendly fire.

Oh, I see! That is interesting. It implys that the jackets were lined in a different colour!

At Shiloh one of the Louisiana regiments had blue coats and turned them inside out (had light gray almost white liner) . They'd been shot at by their own men .
