Now I am wondering. For those of us in the know about the 54mm Star Wars Command figures. What type of scenarios could be done with what is available in this collection? I want to do both old and new genre games with the minis. The vehicles I think are of little use.

Any comments welcome.

I've been using the old GW Inquistor rukes for a bit of gaming with then. Check out Revell's AAT Tank for use with the Trade Federation Droids, the true scale of the vehicle is more 20mm but it works great IMHO, just picked up a couple cheap from The Works here in the UK.

I love the cheap X-Wings and TIE Fighters, and whikle the scale is off the AT-AT walkers and Snowspeeders make for a pretty neat Hoth game.

Super. Now I have a tank to acquire. So who fights against it the Clone troopers?

There are two sets that I've picked up to go with the AAT.

The Command Droid Destruction Pack: (6 Battle Droids and Two Heavy Droids Lead By General Grievous

and Arena Assault: 3 Regular Battle Droids, 1 Heavy Battle Droid and Jango Fett, Mace Windu and 4 Jedi

I have a large collection of the figures. It's a strange mix. It's easy to collect a large amount of sandtroopers and rebel snow troopers.

Annoyingly, the regular Stormtroopers and the Alderaanian Fleet troopers are much harder to gather in large numbers!

DS6151 I hear you there! The best packs only have abut 3 in. Someone in the FLGS recommended the Dagostini figures from the old magazine collection for character figures and such. Apparently there's a shop in Manchester with some, so I'm off there today to see how they match up size wise.

I am okay with using some of the light saber weilding figures as "hero" characters in a Tatooine pirate scenario. I am thinking Sand people vs. Sand Stormtroopers with characters mixed in as pirates. Jedi and evil jedi mixed in as elements in the game. I would use the Song of Blades add on for Star Wars. Ideas?

the deagostini diecast figs are about 1:32 scale, I reckon the star wars command more like 1:35 and the unleashed battlepacks between 1:32 and 1:30. Depends how crazy you are about scale. Also have a look at this:
