Hello, I'm looking for recommendations on where I can order a 3' X 3' space mat for use with Star Wars Armada in the U.S. Thanks Bryan |

Can't really give you any recommendations for the USA as I'm UK based. The 3x3 for Armada is really for the starter set. For more normal battles you'll be needing recommendations for a 6x3, or do you already have that covered? |

I might just use black poster board or something. Thank for the heads up. Ok I need a 6'X3' space mat then. |

I have this one. It's really black, and nonreflective. Also, because it's a loose star pattern, you can buy two and match them up and it won't be obvious. link |

Right now I am using some black felt that I got from the fabric store, but I am probably go to end up getting the 4X6 from Cigar Box Battle Mats link I don't have this mat of theirs, but they are very nice and lay out without any wrinkles and can be folded for easy storage. |

Try here: link Here are the mats themselves: link My FLGS carries them and the website pics don't do them justice. |

I've been making some custom ones on felt using my airbrush. I really like the felt because figs don't slide (this felt doesn't snag either- not a lot of loose fabric). $60 USD shipped (to North America). $50 USD without a Nebula.

I also vote for Cigar Box. Their products are top drawer! |

I wonder if you could use tool box liner (thin foam-rubber available dirt cheap at most DITY stores) and spatter-paint it using a toothbrush or an airbrush? The liner is made to prevent slippage of tools in a toolbox, so it would already have an advantage over many types of fabric. Plus it's slightly spongy, so if a mini tips over on it, you wouldn't have to fear any damage. |
