I have boxes of Dwarf figures (multiple hundreds) to dispose of from the old Ral Partha/Fasa lines of figures to make room for my 15mm figures. These are 99.9% individually based on 20 mm circles (3 mm deep) or 3/4" squares for painting. Amount of paint varies from bare metal through prime through painted. 1) When I take pictures for Ebay should I have them individually available? Or should I have them in groups of 5? 6? 10? 12? 20? What number might be most applicable for various rules sets? 2) Should I have all the figures in a lot the same casting (say multiple copies of the 040102 All American Line Dwarf with mace) or should I avoid duplicates in a lot (like all 12 figures from the 12-040 Dwarves line as one set)? 3) Should I provide larger units where possible or keep them to multiple small groups? |

I would sell them in groups of 10, with variety of pose, but all in the same state of painting if at all possible. So a group of 10 bare, 10 primed, 10 with a few colors, etc. |

It depends how quickly you want to sell them off. If you're in a hurry to get rid of them larger lots are best. If you want to try to make a bit more money and have the time to sell them over several weeks then singles and small groups are probably better. Right now it is a buyers market on Ebay and a lot of the old vintage Ral Partha figures are not selling unless they are really cheap. I've been trying to sell Ral Partha Tom Meier elves for reasonable prices and no bidders at all . . . good luck |

IF it were up to me my first step would be to go onto eBay and do a search for 15mm Ral Partha dwarves. I would not focus on what is on sale now, but click in the left column in Completed Items or Sold Items. This will give you a snapshot of how other lots of these figs have fared in the past few months. It will give you a sense of how other sellers have been grouping them and what figures like these have, or haven't, been selling for. It MAY give you a sense of how lots organized in different ways have fared. We're these figures organized into units for game play? If so, you could post a lot of 24 figs and note they are a complete unit for whatever the rules were. Grouping them as they were originally packaged is also a good way to go. You get 12 free pictures with each lot. The lead picture should show the whole lot. You can include glamour shots of the figures in smaller groups in the other pix to showcase the painting quality. I would include 1 shot with a figure next to a ruler. RP dwarves are true 15s and may not blend well with other dwarves from say, Black Raven. Thus could help avoid cranked off buyers. Be sure the pix clearly show the figs. Some guy has been trying to sell large numbers of RP fantasy for some time, but the only thing you can see in his main pic is multiple drawers full of jumbled figs. I would not try to sell groups of the same casting. I would avoid trying to sell very large numbers of figs at once unless they make up a complete rules set army. Sell in medium sized groups, but offer combined shipping to encourage buyers to exploit the economy of scale. Try to sell groups at the same level of paint completion. Bare metals together, primers together, etc. Good luck. |

KPinder, The ones for sell are not 15mm, I want to make room for 15mm. |

Samnite308, I was thinking $1 USD or $2 USD each (plus the 10% fee charged sellers) – the idea is to make room, profit is nice but not the main driver. |

You might want to try to sell them here and on other warrant sites like bartertown and lead adventures forum. That way you wouldn't have to hassle with all the extra.fees and bureurocracy. Also with demise of Warhammer Fantasy, and Kings of War 2nd edition just released, you might want to group the figures in groups of 10 infantry or 5 cavalry (if there is any). KoW dwarf units are in groups of 10, 20 or 40. |

Ooof! Rewind and try again. IF it were up to me my first step would be to go onto eBay and do a search for 25mm Ral Partha dwarves. KPinder, Figured it was a miscommunication. I took you plan (but substituted for 25mm.) Some people have more money than… well, to be polite, me. Your plan was my plan, (completed for what people were asking then sold to see what they were getting,) but nice to get confirmation that was a solid plan. Interesting to see the range of pricing that sold. Guess it depends on who wants what and how badly. The blisters of muskets and crossbows came in multiples of the same figure so I might try that to give the sense of the old packaging, if it doesn't sell I can change approach. These were based mostly singles then using Litko movement tray for ranks or skirmish in mass battles; 1 x 5, 2 x 5, 3 x 5, 4 x 5, 5 x 5. |
