"There is so much secrecy surrounding "Star Trek: Beyond" that even the casting of its main villain won't officially be acknowledged, despite the fact filming for the next Trek movie has begun.

Yet, Idris Elba doesn't need to wait for Paramount Pictures. The star best known for his work in television shows like HBO's "The Wire" and BBC America's "Luther," revealed to British newspaper Metro that not only is he shooting the new Trek movie, but he's having a great time in the process. Sadly, like Idris as I do, I don't care as it's not real Trek…

Yes, I tried to convince myself that the first movie was good. I watched the trailer for the second and that's all I saw of it, I am not interested in a third installment of this version. Especially if the rumors of a cameo by Shatner prove to be true. Nothing against him or Kirk (my favorite Captain) but these flashback cameos seem to have become a gimmick for these folks who really have no idea what made the original series popular with us. I'll just watch the old series and a few of the original movies again instead.

I didn't like the 2nd movie in the series at first, but I've watched it a couple more times and I enjoy it more each time.

I loved the two ones.
