Pretty much what the headline says – Asking for any lead on a miniature of the MBT-70 German/American Tank of the late 60s, preferably in 6mm or similar, though 10mm isn't helpful.

Will consider Shapeways items at this point. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Masters of Military from Germany offers them via Shapeways but they cost some bucks.

Nevertheless in case I would need them, I would buy them as they look good to me. I already have some very nice items from 3D printers…

Cheers,
Benjamin

I'm not surprised there is difficulty finding these – they never went into production – only 14 prototypes made – pretty much considered a failed project but more of an issue of being ahead of its time

I wish someone would make them in metal.

I'd buy at least a company's worth.

Given some companies are producing other, hypothetical, and/or fantastical creations, I don't see why these shouldn't be pressed into production.

$7 USD a tank not too horrible for such an obscure vehicle

Morpheus, surprisingly for a company that makes experimental late WW2 German vehicles, they don't do this one.

Obscure it may be, however you can get larger scale models of it – Lindbergh and Dragon both make one :)

Hmmm . . . Shapeways have free postage at present too :)

Sorry EC, but you and I differ on that.

$7 USD for a single 1/285th, or 1/300th scale vehicle is outrageous pricing, as far as I'm concerned, especially if you want more than one.

That GHQ link isn't working, at least for me. It just takes me to a fairly blank, "Cloud" page.

Try ghqmodels.com for the makers of Micro-Armor(tm).

But for some reason, they don't make an MBT70 model. They make models of WW2 unterpanzers that had fewer vehicles delivered than the 14 MBT70 prototypes!

The driver sat in the turret in a counter rotating basket so he always faced forward no matter which way the turret pointed. It made the drivers sea sick..

Perhaps if we came up with a different, German designation (not sure there is one), AND/OR listed it as a WWWII vehicle, we might be able to get them to produce it.
