Or does the modeler have his own printer?

I seriously doubt the whole of it is output from 3D printers…as always it is a mastering tool to make conventional molds from.

Mick – You should have read the blog post. It all was 3-D printed scenery, even some of the trees!

One piece takes an hour to print and still costs the rate of a cup of java? The economics doesn't add up. My own experience with 3d printers is the unit cost is much higher.

Oh, I see…the cost of the digital file is about the cost of the cup of joe. Cost of printing "ink" is not figured into it.

Still probably much more cost effective to print the master, make a conventional mold and cast if you have any sort of economy of scale.
