Apparently also known as Decoys 2 and Decoys: Alien Seduction…

Yes, the sequel to the original Decoys, which I rather enjoyed.

(If you haven't seen the original movie, turn back now – there will be spoilers here…)

So the first five minutes fill you in on the story – there are these hot college chicks, they want sex, and then these tentacles spring out of their chests and you freeze to death. They are attempting to mate so that they can share your DNA and save their species.

Returning to the story are Luke Callahan (Corey Sevier), now a teaching assistant; and Constance Snowden (Kim Poirier), one of the sex-crazed aliens in human disguise.

But wait! Didn't they die in the first movie? Well, Luke appeared on the brink of death, but there's a lame excuse for why he has survived. And, yes, Constance was definitely killed in the first movie… which explains why Luke keeps saying "Shouldn't you be dead?"

Oh, and weren't there lots of witnesses at the end of the last movie? Oh well, forget about that, too… grin

Speaking of changes, the movie has also changed (improved?) the rules since the first movie. The alien girls can now read your thoughts, then change their outfits to match your fantasies. (But they still don't have belly buttons???) Their "sex tentacles" are now also general-purpose tentacles, good for tying people up or knocking things over.

One change for the better is that the students actually look like they might be college age this time! There's dorky Sam (Tyler Johnston) who doesn't realize that his best friend Stephanie (Kailin See) might be in love with him. And four or five more than I don't remember.

Constance, by the way, is now "Dr. Snowden" and is using her position on faculty to keep an eye on Luke. Tobin Bell has a small part as Luke's professor. Dina Meyer has a slightly larger role as Luke's psychologist, who wants him to take his medicine to stop his delusions.

The new alien chicks this time are played by Michelle Molineux and Lindsay Maxwell and a third actress whose name I didn't get. In the first movie, the alien girls were sexy and funny; this time, they are more like Bleeped textty airheads. But at least they hide the bodies this time…

So, as you can guess, the movie starts with guys mysteriously dying, Luke realizes what is going on but nobody believes him, until finally the younger students realize he's right and they go after the aliens once and for all…

The first movie was lots of fun. The second movie is… just average. Good soundtrack. Warning: some topless moments.

Plot hole: Constance at one point refers to her fellow aliens as clones. Hmmm… if they can clone, why do they need human DNA?

The "Xerox Effect".

Like making a copy of a copy of a copy, etc., each succeeding copy gets "fuzzier", i. e. you start losing information.

Each time you clone a clone of a clone the DNA becomes more and more corrupted until you can no longer produce a viable product.

They need to keep introducing human DNA so their DNA can keep that "fresh, spring-like smell."

I should add that, although the student/alien girls aren't given as much to do in this movie as in the first one, the actresses are certainly fun to watch: Michelle Molineux is achingly beautiful, and Lindsay Maxwell is fine as well. grin

(Kim Poirier was not as cute as before… oh well, happens to all of us…)
