Donald Featherstone got there "firstest with the mostest" – I doubt anyone will ever be able to equal his total contribution to the hobby as a whole. Just look at that list of book titles! And well done to John Curry for this – and for the whole of the Wargaming History Project. Bringing all these "lost" books (Featherstone and others) back to print was and is a noble undertaking. |

I still play Featherstones Horse and Musket rules (with only a couple of small amendments). |

Just look at that list of book titles! And that's not the sum total of his work. He also wrote stuff in his profession (physical therapy). In fact, the first thing I read by him was a reprinted article for athletic trainers on taping ankles (I was student manager for my college's basketball team a the time). I told Don that the one time I met him (at Historicon). He got a good laugh from it and noted that I was probably the only person in attendance who could make that claim. I still play Featherstones Horse and Musket rules (with only a couple of small amendments). For my group, it's his medieval rules, "God for Harry, England, and St. George!" (also with some small amendments). |

I'd like to see it as an academic evaluation of his importance, rather than just a tribute. |

The hair-do on the actress page 5 would do for Marie Antoinette. |
