A mate at work lent me a book the other day, and I have to say it is excellent and I can't believe I've not come across this before: link It details pretty much every engagement that the Kriegsmarine were involved in, including lesser known operations in the Baltic and Black Sea. Each engagement is headed by an information panel detailing the sea state, visibility, who had surprise, the type of mission, etc, and an ORBAT which includes damage sustained. Even the damage is couched in wargaming terms (D1 to D4, each with a definition). I've now ordered my own copy, but I thought I'd raise it here in case anyone else, like me, didn't know of this superb resource. Cheers, Nick |

I have theEbook but have to confess I have barely skimmed it. Will move closer to the top of the pile. Fatman |

All of O'Hara's books are superb. He did one on the USN and the battles in the Mediterranean as well. |

Vince O'Hara is the real deal. Search under his name in Amazon to see other titles by him. BTW, if you appreciate books of that sort, take a look at "Battle on the Seven Seas – German Cruiser Battles 1914-1918", by Gary Staff. Blutarski gives it two big thumbs up. B |

Just ordered my copy; this author (O'Hara) was totally under my radar. Thanks again. |
