A friend and I are playing our first game of Clash on the Fringe tonight. My mate is using some space samurai figures and I am using these:
They are the "British" figures from Prince August's cheap bag of Warzone figures with heads by Anvil Industries (which they sadly no longer seem to sell). My problem is: what sort of force they should represent? We are looking a Rogue Trader-esque background. Based on looks alone, who do you think they are? |

They could be evil henchmen army like HYDRA. That's the vibe I'm getting anyway. |

They're not Judges. But they could be "The Jury". |

Slave camp guards. Or mercenaries with an unsavory reputation. Kudos on the paint job, by the way. |

Thanks for the suggestions. We are playing in half an hour so I'd better get myself sorted! The Jury is an interesting idea. I originally went with those head swaps with Dredd style judges or Adeptus Arbites in mind. Perhaps The Jury have gone "independent" and interpret the law as they see fit. In those boxes, they are carrying a book of statutes (and a packed lunch). Thanks again all. I hope to post an ARR/review of Clash on the Fringe after the game. |

These look like Imperial regulars. Nice conversion and paint job. The change in look is nice. I would still use them as PDF. Or local colony swat police force. |

Very well equipped Imperial Army/Guard, perhaps equipped with comm gear, respirators, eye protection, and even Refractor Field generators in addition to Bolters and a man-portable Multi-Laser. Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net

They could make for some Garden World Adeptus Arbites, from the posh end of the Imperium . . . Heck, they might even be friends of Bert Ftang! |
