I love the eagle. This is very close to what the Lunar Modules looked like and how they should have evolved.

If emdrive pans out, we could have Eagles!

I prefer 1:1 scale myself……but the upcoming 22-inch version will do nicely!!!!!

However….it will cost about $80 USD-90 apiece and if you want the 'accurizing kit'…(aluminum engine bells and thrusters and landing strutage), be prepared to shell out ANOTHER $149 USD!

I'm still trying to just get 'full detail' on the lower deck of my Polar Lights 12" Jupiter 2!!!! Using shapeways stuff and kitbashing!

The MPC kit is still around, and being 1/72 scale it's close enough for Earth Gov work for 15mm and spot on for 20mm aka 1/72 scale such as Starguard! figures:

Hmmm… I wonder what scale my Space: 1999 Hawk actually is, as it's a perfect match for 15mm figures:

That is a beauty.

Anyone know how the MPC kit compares size-wise to the diecast Eagles?

Love that HAWK too.

The really sad thing is that I had loads of Eagles and Hawks from when I was a child, when I stopped gaming and became an art snob I put them away in the attic/loft. When my folks moved house they got binned! Now that I have grown away from all that arthouse snobbery and left hand clap psuedo intellectual garbage and enjoy art for what fun it can be just paint and have rediscovered gaming I really miss my ships!

Scary,

as I linked to above the Eagle kit is still available. The Hawk not so much AFAIK, but perhaps it might resurface in a rerelease if we all get lucky (and brother, do I want to add a couple more to my lone JSDF Hawk!)…
