I doubt anyone can really be called a "hater" of any rule set or game no matter how much they doeth protest. I haven't checked recently but I don't know of any company that has the ability to force a player to play something or buy their miniatures, though many have had delusions of grandeur in that regard.

Players may dislike a certain game for a multitude of reasons and this dislike may reach quite an extreme animus.

What passes for "hate" is I think that annoyance which comes about when anyone says of a specific game any of the following.

1. This is the only way to play the game.
2. This is the only game that ought to be and can be played about the prototype (period the game deals in)>
3. You are somehow less valid, educated, smart, sociable, friendly, or human if you do not love this game and play it.
4. You are somehow superior, erudite, in the know, and blessed if you do play the game.
5. I dislike the game and anyone who does like it is a reproach to my judgment and must be destroyed.
6. I like the game and if you do not then you are delivering a personal insult to and have designs upon---
"me precious."

I don't know. There seems to be a lot of plain hate for GW on TMP.

Not grandeur. But perhaps you expect too much rational behaviour from hate.

Dear inkpaduta

I think the "hate" for GW is from the attempt of GW to control everything about the game from "sanctioned" games and figures to "sanctioned terrain."

No one likes someone who pracices Imperialism over Imagination. As I told a person one time. When I buy your figures, they become my figures. When I buy your rules they become my rules.
