Gentlefolk And Friends of TVAG,
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are about to lose the space where our Casting Suite has been located for the past few years.
Located now in Castle Rock, we will be without any AFFORDABLE space to set up our casting, molding, and mold storage. We do have a local option put everything into storage, but not do any work there at all.
We have been partly in shock, and partly considering a poor option of moving some two hours away from where our Casting Master and Sculptor, Chris Ferree, currently resides, but we realize we must make a naked plea to anyone who might be in a position to help us remain up and running by moving to a new space in the Denver Metroplex (and ideally as near as possible to Castle Rock).
This call for help wouldn't have to be made if there was enough cash or sales to pay rent in some sort of industrial park, but this is not the case.
Consequently, we are looking for someone who can offer, say, a 200 square foot or so shed/outbuilding/garage/etc which has electricity, some sort of lighting, and a solid floor/foundation to hold heavy equipment. A 220 line would necessary as well, or permission to add at our expense. An electrical fume extractor would have to be installed as well, but again at our expense. Any other improvements would also become the property of the owner upon our finding a permanent site elsewhere ASAP.
Naturally, if such a facility can be provided, our benefactor would pretty much be able to write his own ticket on free TVAG produced mini's--so long as our paying customers are rightly serviced first!
We are open to simply being provided, again for a token payment if not free, enough space on a properly zoned property to erect a pre-fab building to house our casting suite. Such an option would likely require a Kick Starter/Indeigogo/other program to raise the necessary funds for purchase, siting, and electrification, etc. If this were to be the case, we would be open to deeding the building over to the land holder, possibly for a small amount of cash by way of a return for the use of the land for a year or more.
All of this is especially distressing and frustrating as TVAG was literally about to release the newly completed 15mm figure range, "Pedicarris Alive, Or Raisuli Dead!" when the bad news broke. Even a few days later, and we would have had to jerk the line back from sale as we cannot now guarantee when orders could be filled.
Other new miniatures lines for the Mexican American War, and the 15mm Rajah Brook range, expanded 25mm ranges of Ashanti, Maori, and many others) were to be starting back this year, and now all this is very much up in the air.
It may be that by this time next year we might have a new space that would be more or less guaranteed to us. Not a certainty at all, but the plan is to leave any "life boat" space at the first reasonable opportunity.
We appreciate the decidedly desperate nature of this call for help, and begrudge no one but our luck if we have to go into storage for the foreseeable future, or likely operate at a much slower rate with spottier service, which is the last thing we want to do for our customers.
Any responses may certainly be posted here, but also to our E-mail at TVAG@att.net
Grateful for years of kind and enthusiastic support for our miniatures arm, we intend to remain
