Photo 114. Look to the far right of the photo and you will see the top half of artillery gun wheels. These are a few of the British guns dragged from the Turkish positions by the Russians at balaclava. It was these Guns that lord raglan was trying to get the light brigade to recover. "Charge for the guns he said ." Cardigan couldn't see them and charged down the valley to the wrong guns. The guns in the Russian cemetery disappeared during ww2 and no one knows what happened to them. Probably melted down for the metal.
