Charterhouse, you seem to look at the lyric as though it is fake news or inaccurate but, in context, The Warrior merely mentions what renegades have told him that Geronimo is dead. It is not important that it is untrue just that in negotiations with the US Government and all the broken promises it might well be true. The Warrior is against all betrayal of his tribe.

Great song, my main objection is reference to the Iroquois as I regard The Warrior as a plains Indian and I don't know if the Iroquois mention works.
