My USAF Forces have needed some work. The USAF forces have several options that can be included in the effort that was assigned to Rolling Thunder depending on year, month and raid. Linebacker introduces even more variation but I will detail linebacker forces in a later post.

This generates the possibility of needing the following forces:

2 – 5 flights of EB-66 jamming aircraft with 2 flights of CAP escorts.
2 – 4 flights of F-105F Wild Weasels.
1 – 2 flights of MiGCAP
4 – 5 flights of F-105D
0 – 2 flights of F-4C Strike/CAP
1 flight of Recon Aircraft

The CAP escort and MiGCAP can be either F-4 (C or D models) or F-104C Starfighters
The Recon flights can be either RF-101C or RF-4C.

The raid could look something like this

and with all the options I need the aircraft bill brings the force up to this

As the USAF in camo make coloured home made decals almost impossible I am looking at refreshing the existing aircraft to something along the lines of this RF-4C for 14 TFS

Very nice as always. Once I get my BoB stuff finished the USAAF for Vietnam is next on my list. Of course neither will happen until my arthritis starts to co-operate. :-(

By the way where did you get the RF 101?

The RF-101C came from Shapeways via Wulf on the Yahoo group. He sent me two only one of which survived the journey.

I need one more F-104C as a CAP option I have 3 but there are 4 CAP task options to cover. So I will probably add two packs and do some in early all aluminium with FG codes

The F-104C as a separate shot which some of you have already seen on the Modern Aviation Guides board

Looking fantastic as always, Si, and I'm looking forward to your next trip downtown.

Si what colors do you use for your SEA camouflage?

CAG 1923 Feb 2016 4:34 p.m. PST

Sorry,
Been off doing other things so haven't paid attention

VJ used throughout
Splinter Strips
US Dark Green
Tan Earth

Can't remember what I used for the undersides though will have to check my notes as I am notoriously bad at changing my mind halfway through a paint job

Give the SEA FS colours.
