Hi Everyone, Can anyone tell me if the Essex range tends to run 'small' or 'large' for 15mm? Thanks! |

Not small or large they are not spindly either the metal is softish too so spears. And the like bend a bit too much but OK for muskets etc. They are not 'modern' 15 mm in style so limited poses but they do paint up very well average 16/17 mm foot to eye. The tend to not mix too nicely with other manufactures. The above comments are of course my opinions and I have got some of their miniatures and actually like them ( I have cut and drilled for spear/flag poles on some and some miniatures come with separate weapons but very few (spear and pike types mainly)I give them 3 1/2 stars out of 5 :). The pictures in that link are all missing. :-( Please fix! I find those side-by-side comparison pages really useful. - Ix |

I find Essex AWI go very well with my Peter Pig and Miniature Figurines 15mm. Taking all three together, I have a super variety to model all those varied and esoteric units. There are probably some other true 15mm makes that would match as well. |
