Hi gents,
I have the Italeri Berlin House and some other buildings that I need to paint quick as Historicon is coming soon. Anyone know some methods that are quick and look reasonably good?

Also, what color do you paint Europe trams? I got the tram barricade from Monday Knight Productions

I spray my buildings with flat black and then dry brush the color over that once the flat black is dry. It's quick and easy. You can see the outcome I get and the colors I used in my gallery of a bombed-out WWII German city at link

some people start with a white base coat and wash(thinned paint) colors. You can get amazing results but it takes practice.

This seems to be working for me. Base coat flat black. For exterior spray Testors Flat Dark Aircraft Gray #1226. Dont worry about complete or consistent coverage as the black makes a good pre-shade and variations look natural. Then LIGHTLY spray with Testors Flat Light Aircraft Gray #1233. Once again you dont want complete or consistent coverage. If you wish to do a bit of dry brushing with say light tan or something can do.

For interior also base coat flat black. Spray flat white taping off things like the floors. You want to be a bit inconsistent here as well. Most are wooden floors and a dark brown will do here and then dry brush with lighter brown.

You can do things like pick out shutters or doors for variety. Best to do this production line style. Get all buildings ready and spray all with black for instance. Should have your buildings done in plenty of time!
