…happy birthday, Lady Liberty. Et un grand merci à tous nos amis français!

That's one awesome 34500mm figure! Or is it 20.5:1 …? Either way, I think the torch and spiky headdress are a great example of why we should measure foot to eye.

3450mm ?

Is there a digit missing in there somewhere?

Is there a digit missing in there somewhere?

Yeah, I dropped a 0 typing. Fixed. I also put "on" in the title instead of "one", but I can't fix that one.

I thought this was a Smokey thread for a minute.

Yeah, I thought so too.

Am I missing a conversion?
Statue of Liberty is 305ft which is about 92,000mm
And even if a "standard" woman was 6ft tall that would be about 51:1 scale model----Am I backwards somewhere?

Buff Orpington17 Jun 2015 8:25 a.m. PST

The mis-spelling really does make it sound like a Smokey thread.

Celebrating on an extra large lady? Isn't that Smokey's job description?

Dynaman878917 Jun 2015 4:55 p.m. PST

She isn't large, she is big boned…

I'm with 79th on this as well.

Statue of Liberty is 305ft which is about 92,000mm

She's 305' from ground to torch. 151' from foot to torch. I estimated about 25% for top of head (or is that eye level?) to tip of torch to get 113' from foot to eye level (or is that top of head?).

I thought this was a Smokey thread for a minute.

The merest hint of intentional misdirection had never crossed my mind …
