"If there's one thing that happens in Lord of the Rings, it's some pretty epic battles using a large variety of races. Well, Ares Games is looking to give you more options for your War of the Ring board game with the release later this year of Warriors of Middle-earth. Now, factions that were only part of the game as Event cards will get their own sets of unique figures and abilities.

The expansion will include Ents, Dead Men of Dunharrow, Great Eagles of the Misty Mountains (fly, you fools!), Corsairs of Umbar, Wild Hilmen from Dunland, and Giant Spiders. But more than just new factions, there's also new mechanics being brought to the game in the form of Faction Dice and Faction Events. These will totally change up what sort of strategies you can use on your way to either free Middle-earth, or enslave it for all time.

The new expansion will be available hopefully in November. Meanwhile, the base game and the first expansion are currently out of print, but Ares hopes to have more back in stock in August"
