Quite interesting…

"The Battle of Fornovo took place on July 6th 1495 during the Wars of the Italian Renaissance. The army of Charles VIII of France, made up of French, Swiss mercenaries and a contingent of Italians commanded by Gian Giacomo Trivulzio was stopped by the Army of the Holy League. The army of the League was formed by the armies of Milan and Venice, with many mercenaries, Italians, Dalmatians, Greeks and Germans. In one day of battle died more than 3,000 men and despite the confusion, however, the final conquest of Charles VIII was officially stopped."

Nice pics, though the text is a bit misleading, considering that the French were on their way back anyway, and that they were not stopped.

Looking at the page, it seems that the depicted events are only loosely based on real history anyway. But nice pics, especially the creative inventions.

It has the look of a scenario for a computer game. Is it?

Here is a 1506 print of the Battle of Fornovo 1495

Indeed a nice print that illustrates quite well the difference of Italian and Swiss infantry (just as Stradiots, Gensdarmes and camp followers).
