"Do we need a Climate Change Discussion Board?" Topic

I like the Science Board. It has a lot of neat stuff on it. But the Climate Change people, both pro and con, annoy me.

They routinely violate TMP rules by quoting important stuff for more than three paragraphs and insult news sources.
And the skeptics, like me are just as bad.

Shall these special snowflakes have their own board, so that sensitive flowers like myself and the OFM can turn it off?

And shall we be required to spell all words in titles correctly?

You mean discussion on 'Random Effects Generator" tables for TTG scenarios? (Severe weather, gravitational anomalies, and such)

For such an important issue of our day as this, it requires a completely new site, similar to the Blue Fez, since it IS the most dire threat to our existence, currently (or so I'm told by the talking heads), surpassing even ISIS, other islamic terrorist orgs (yes, I used the little "I" on purpose), unemployment, deflation/stagflation, etc., etc.

I've got a few catchy names in mind, but can't name them openly here, since I'd be locked in the DH for eons.

Perhaps naming it after that pontificating, jet-setting, carbon-spewing, rich guy, who is a real "bore" might be appropriate.

Winston, I believe we need two new boards to handle this, one pro-climate change and the other anti-climate change. Since both sides routinely ignore the other side's input, they won't have to bother even looking at it.
Besides, this will give you the fun of turning off not one, but two boards! Oh the excitement! Be still my pounding heart!

Well, since Climate Change has a lot to do with water, both sides of the issue should be water boarded on a Water Board.

Just leave science alone, as terrement says, you can always ignore/stifle particularly annoying posters.

If it becomes too political (and sadly, Climate Change has become much more about politics these days, and a lot less to do with science), then send it to UM.
