Just passing along some info…

Yes, she's at Bayou Wars, and already played her first game – Clay Cooper's Battlecry ACW in 6mm. (And she won!)

She'll report back to TMP when she has time, but I've told her to spend her time at the con playing games and having fun – she can write up reports later… grin

Pictures, or it didn't happen.

I wish I could have attended with my daughter, so they could me meet. Diana has been following the stories of the editors with much interest.

I hope Julia gets some kind of award for longest distance travelled.

She is now wondering about food… apparently the hotel restaurant is not open, and no restaurants in walking distance… frown

Order delivery pizza!! She's lucky and I'm jealous! I haven't been home in ages

A most excellent idea doc.

St. Franciscville is a beautiful town. You can't see it from the hotel, but there actually is a McDonald's within walking distance

Glad to hear it.

Hope she has a great time!

Yea, Editor Julia!
You go, girl!

Editor Julia12 Jun 2015 3:34 p.m. PST

Hey everyone! I feel so blessed. I played my first game earlier (BattleCry) and I won. I'm inviting you to come over!

HistoryPhD12 Jun 2015 3:55 p.m. PST

Well done Julia! I hope you found some dinner!

Do they have Hungry Howies nearby?

capncarp13 Jun 2015 6:23 a.m. PST

While you're there get a Po'boy sandwich!

Editor Julia13 Jun 2015 6:31 a.m. PST

I did have a Po'Boy beef sandwich last night. Stayed up late playing Convoy. It was so much fun. The beer and wine is also running. grin

And donīt forget the dirty rice! Dirty rice, gumbo and a bottle of Dixie will give you all the vitamins you need to kick butt at the gaming table. thumbs up

HistoryPhD13 Jun 2015 8:57 a.m. PST

A bit of jambalaya and gumbo too.

Weasel13 Jun 2015 1:50 p.m. PST

Enjoy the show, get some local food if you can and don't mind the crazies :-)

We made sure Julia had a good time. She was interested in all of the games and asked good questions about playing mechanics.

Some pictures later on my blog.
