I most enjoyed him as the voice of Lei Shin, the Thunder King in World of Warcraft patch 5.2 The Throne Of Thunder.

Maybe there should be another poll for other roles – he did a lot of TV as well.

Rochefort in 'The Three Musketeers.'

My favorites were the Three Musketeers and Four Musketeers; classic swashbuckling action!

And can we vote on this one this week while it is most relevelant so we don't have to do it next February or whenever it naturally rises to the top?

I only remember seeing him in LOTR/Hobbit but I don't go to the theater or watch TV very often.

Without question Rochefort in the Three/Four Musketeers. He did all his own stunts as well as being an experienced fencer against a much younger Michael York.

Three/Four Musketeers for me, too. Though he made a very fine Fu Manchu.

Too many good roles to choose just one. 206 films!

Dracula and Saruman for me, with several more nipping at their heals.

Dracula hands down but liked just about everything he did. As I stated on a Facebook posting, if there is an afterlife I hope he is now hanging out with his old pals Vincent Price and Peter Cushing.

"Horror Express" -- co-stars Peter Cushing & Telly Savalas; has a good Lovecraftian vibe.

Rochefort,but I forgot about "Monsiuer Scaramanga".

Dracula for me too , especially now that vampires are cool kids now with a soft spot for humans.
His role as Rochefort was very good and he was opposite probably the best collection of musketeers gathered for the big screen.
The man with the golden gun and Saruman were well played as was count dooku.
But it has got to be Dracula as he seems to have set the benchmark and somehow you kind of see it in the characters he played since. Sneaky , sinister, powerful and untrustworthy.

His bit parts have been comical too , gremlins 2 scientist and willy wonkas old man.

OMG Fu Manchu too .
