Item: Lockheed Hudson Item # R9-0321
Scale: 1/200
Medium: Resin w/steel screw mounting point
Manufacturer: Armaments in Miniature, LLC (AIM) armamentsinminiature.com
Vendor: AIM
Price: $7 USD

General Impressions: The model is a single-piece casting with a steel screw cast in the belly. It was a clean casting with nice detail, Seam lines were limited and easily removed. I did not notice any air pockets on the one I painted. The horizontal stabilizers on my model had drooped a bit but that was easily remedied by placing the tail of the model in hot water. Once the resin had warmed sufficiently and the stabilizer was back in place I dipped the model in ice water to cool the resin in place. The only really delicate part of the model is the tail wheel.

Recommendations: I recommend the model for all skill levels. If you're going to be using the model in a lot of games I recommend removing the tail wheel before painting…just get it over with so you don't have to worry about it snapping off later.

Notes: I used I-94 Enterprises and Scale Specialties decals on the Hudson.

Hard site to search…do they have a Ventura in any scale?

Thanks for the review.

I don't think so.

I'm afraid not the Ventura/Harpoon is a pretty rare bird in any scale. Tumbling Dice do a nice one in 1/600th.

AIM doesn't have a Ventura in its inventory and doesn't plan to have one in the near future. HBM 1/200 may have one.
Kevin, beautiful work as always. Please note that any problems with air pockets have been corrected.
