I'm working on a basic Empire village/town for Warhammer. It consists of about six buildings, enough to do a decent town or a corner of a city behind city walls.

I wanted to go with a weathered look, colors that at one time were bright when the buildings were new, but have since been subjected to the elements for some time. I kept all the roof tiles the same color to give consistency to the village look.

The buildings are from a site called Stronghold Terrain. They make really excellent resin medieval buildings and accessories.

These two buildings pictured here I painted using nothing but craft paints and cheap craft brushes. Over the years I've gotten better at working with craft paints in terms of blending, shading, and highlighting. Craft paints are a true wargaming blessing, being so cheap and the bottles last a long time.

Both buildings turned out well, but the barn in particular really worked well with the craft paint.

Here's some pics, hope you like them!
