Blue Moon 15mm Deep Dark Africa series offer 11 different tribes with optional shield types.

I am looking for archers of similar size and sculpting to represent the forest regions of West and Central Africa; close cropped hair, no beards, and a minimal amount of clothing (loin cloth) and of course a bow.

Are there any manufacturers of suitable ancient, medieval or colonial figures?

Cheers,
Robert

Try looking for Nubian archers from New Kingdom Egypt lines. They tend to wear animal-skin kilts rather than loincloths. You might have to trim a plume off their heads.

Irregular have them in 15mm.

Keep a lookout for Nubians, sounds like what you're after.

See Old Glory 15s, or Nineteenth Century Miniatures. They have Ancient Nubian Archers. I use them with my Blue Moon African Tribesmen. They fit in just fine. Jarrovian's photo is pretty much what they look like. Hope this helps…

Thanks all for the tips and photo.

Ordering with any US manufacturer would incur high postage and an import tax (guaranteed), but I can order OG figures through TimeCast UK.

Cheers,
