I am looking for Naval aircraft for use on my modern 1:2400 Wasp, Iwo Jima etc so Harriers and sea king, Sea knight, cobra, osprey, etc.

GHQ has 1 carrier based pack but is only has the sea king. Anyone know of anyone else that has something?

Might be able to get Harriers from their UK Carrier set – can't recall if it is Invincible, or Illustrious.

May be SHARs, or GR3s, but at this scale, it probably doesn't matter.

If you contact GHQ, you might be able to get them directly, as a special, accessory order.

Don't know of any Cobras, or Ospreys in this scale.

You could consider bumping up to 1/1200th, like some people do, for a wider selection of aircraft, but still probably no Osprey, and Cobras may be MIA too.

Well I had a long post on which aircraft in which model but TMP whipped it

So go look. GHQ has F14, F15, F18, F4, F111, AV8/Harrier, A6, S3A, TU-16, TU-22, TU-95, SU-27(also as Chinese J-5), MiG-29, SU-25, lots of ASW helos, Osprey, CH-46, Seakings they persist in labeling Sea Stallions but are not.

All the carrier kits include aircraft, there are also American and Soviet land, and American naval, packs that are only aircraft

Viking Forge has a Viet Nam era aircraft pack that has F-4 and A-5 Vigilante aircraft. Originally it was supposed to include A-4 but my pack did not and I was told they did not cast.

GHQ will sell aircraft sprues separately at $4 USD a sprue. I believe you get 2 Ospreys for $3 USD but I'm not sure

My Viking Forge Vietnam plane pack came with Skyhawks…
The Sea Wulf carriers (Invincible, Hermes and Veinciento De Mayo) come with aircraft, maybe they'd sell the sprues if asked. Though this doesn't really help with USMC aircraft. For those your best bet is to order spares of the sprues in the GHQ Wasp kit, and the Osprey sprue from their New York or Hyuga.

I'm vaguely hoping someone does a serious range of 1/2400 aircraft in a Shapeways store one day.

If you're after aircraft models to be used by themselves, rather than to detail ship models, I'd also suggest looking at the pretty complete ranges available in 1/1200.

For WWII I use Cap Aero. I think they make moderns too.

Well that sucks. I guess it's just me eh?

The SeaWulf aircraft are pretty out of scale. Of course some of the GHQ are too small.

I was hoping at some point that ghq would release other aircraft in 1/2400 , f16, tornado, mirage, p8 Poseidon etc

Poseidons you can get from Shapeways in 1/2400, the Dragoman's Depot store has a couple of sets of Western and Chinese patrol aircraft.
I don't know how good they are at 1/2400 scale, but my copies of his Wedgetail at 1/1200 scale are quite nice so I'd be willing to give him a try.
