Hi All, Here's some shots of our 28mm metal Liby-Phoenicians painted up by the talented Gary over at March Attack! We have a Unit Deal on these up in our store – also working on some shield transfers to go on the Hoplons / Apsis (although Gary's free hand designs are excellent!). Hope you like them Greg Agema Miniatures

These are nicely done Greg – great job on the shields, really imaginative work. Long spears look good with the unit. Finally got one lot of veterans assembled. Have to say the metal heads were tricky – may drill/pin the next lot! Not much chance for painting at the moment as the builders are in my 'studio' and it is a tad chilly without heating. I prefer 'standard' bases for formed units but have some of these for my skirmishers. Garry |

Smartly done, like the freehand painting on the shields. 8-) Stuart. |

Hi Garry, I tend to use the 'new' superglue gel for sticking on the heads. Leave it a few seconds to almost go off and then quickly put the head in place. Sets like a rock! Looking forward to seeing the finished examples – I'm working towards having enough Vets for the 3rd line in a Zama refight. Have got a few Celtic / Barbarian heads I've made as a little personal experiment that I'll post some pics of. If people like them I might make them available in the store to add extra variety to the Vets look. I'm sure Hannibal would have had a few hoary old Celts left by the time he made it back to Africa! Thanks Greg I usually use either Zappa Gappa (quite gel like) or Gorilla Super Glue – not entirely happy with either but the cold probably is a factor. Other option is 90 second araldite (epoxy). It's good to have a goal – 3rd line at Zama is perhaps a little extreme! Garry |
