I've noticed that on some RAF aircraft, the prop bosses are painted black instead of white. Is there any particular reason for this, and which units would it have affected at what time?

Squadron whim as far as I'm aware – blue and red were also far from unknown – red being particularly prevalent in the Desert Air Force. I've not seen any rhyme or reason to it – it's a case of searching for a picture of the unit you want to depict.

Thanks, Dom! I've bought some decals from you, so pictures may soon appear!
