I've ended up with a whole bunch of the HOF knights clutching axes and while flipping through the GW online shop for some inspiration I noted they had started producing a whole range of Chapter personalities. So with the leftover heads from the Scouts project I tried my hand at a sort-of High Executioner …
(I did two the same because I had two heads and in case I botched the cloak on one). |

Nice, maybe needs knee armour. |

You really have done a great job on those fur lined cloaks, if you ever wants to do someone a little favor and do a couple of character Marcher Baron retained knights wearing the same kinds of cloaks let me know. |

Very nice. Excellent job. |

@Gunner Dunbar Not doing knee cops – you'd probably hear the swearing in the southern hemisphere… @AVAMANGO Given that I clearly took the minor flaw on character generation 'GS sticks to anything, but what I want it too' I think I've proved that anyone can manage a cloak – the fur lining is simply a very thinly rolled bit, trimmed, in my case cack handedly pressed down, and poked with a pin (yes I am aware there is a technique to fur…) |

So far so good with this guy, the 'hologram' is a little larger than envisaged, but painted up okay IMO (thanks to Redroom's suggestion). I'm now going to try a painted OSL effect for the first time ever. What could go wrong? |

Lol, that's a great idea. |

Whats that a Epic Space marine? if so that is a stroke of genius. |
ROUWetPatchBehindTheSofa | 10 Jun 2015 11:28 a.m. PST |
Yes, its an Epic Space Marine – the other option was finding a 6mm not-Palpatine! |

I had planned to cut that hand off and pin a new one on holding a Ion age equivalent of a blaster but left handed figures holding sci-fi weapons are thin on the ground, so i might have to steal this idea instead. :) |

Its not the best figure. For all intents and purposes he appears to be holding a dinner plate. |

Okay, first attempt at OSL did not end in the tin of Nitromors…
But its clearly a technique that works best with an airbrush and on larger models. |

H'mmm another idea surfaces…

The epic marine is a fantastic idea |

But its clearly a technique that works best with an airbrush and on larger models. I was a bit confused by the OSL term, did a Google, found the Brush Thralls tutorial with examples, and must say, what ever size model, you should be proud. Doug |

Finally after about three plus years, I've finished the not-a-Predator tank build for my not-SMurf Retained Knights. I originally wanted the old school look with the hemispherical turret and matching sponsons, but I'm moderately happy with the outcome – And yes I know the turret couldn't possibly traverse properly. It needed a spacer. The project is nearly finished providing I don't succumb to project creep, but I don't have an assault squad or a not-Razorback…
