Nice work!! My plan is to purchase some of these Calpe figures in the future. I already have lots of Prussians, they are a joy to paint. |

Nice to see generic guys getting their day in the sun. The washes worked well IMHO, nice campaign look. And interesting tidbit about the 2nd battalions getting white dots in the pompoms. 40 years and still learning. |

'glad you like them! well these white dots were specified by the Bardin regulations (1812), which also specified lentil-shape (flat) pompons. The Calpe pompons are flat-ish. The battalion number (2, 3, 4) was supposed to be written on these white patches. as always regulations may not have been applied everywhere. Perry miniatures line infantry all have round pompoms which makes it difficult to have the white patch. Their light infantry though comes with the optional lentil-shape pompom. |
