Pretty damn good for a fisrt try!

Indeed. That is a particularly nice first effort. Should serve your fleet well for a long time to come.

Yes – very nice.

1/2400 seems like a great scale for detail. I'm guessing Warspite scales out at about 3 inches long with destroyers about half that.

I was reading a discussion about scales and the various pros/cons of 1/3000th, 1/6000, 1/4800 and 1/2400.

How big a table do you need to have battleships engaging at realistic looking ranges in 1/2400?

Hi all, many thanks for the kind remarks. I have based them now and will put a couple of pictures up later.
Skarper, yes I decided on 1/2400 for the extra detail, I have not tried the other scales so I don't know about those but from the photos I've seen you can get some nice results all the same.
Yes, Warspite is about 3 inches and destroyers inch and a quarter to a half depending on class obviously.
As for table, ah well I have a 8 foot x 6 foot table and really, realistically it should be bigger, but, you scale the range to suit and it was a trade off of nice looking detailed ships for game distance, I think I can go with that.
