Baratieri were defeated by the Ethiopian forces led by the Emperor Menelik II.This is possiblely the main cause of the invasion of Ethiopia in 1935,but this cause isnīt the only.In Italy existed from October 1922 one dictatorial regime led by Benito Mussolini,few to few Mussolini took more political power in Italy,he mauled to the political opposition of the lefts parties,especially Socialist and Comunist, with great violence and he imposed in Italy a new form to govern unknown until then in the modern Italy,the dictadure,governnig making use of the brutal force.The Fascist Party (PNF) was a militarist party,they made cult to the war and to the extreme violence,Mussolini was the first victim of the own medicine,the violence.The cultive of the violence ideas brought to Mussolini to see the war as a good enterprise,enterprise that could give a good aftermaths,and could bring to Italy the reward of to have a colonial empire.Mussolini and the fascist exploited the idea that Italy had been betrayed by hers allies in the Great War 1914-18,and Italy had had a mutilated victory.
One empire can be built with the culture,with the use of the words,of the ideas,of the writen words in history books,philosophy,poetry,novels books writen by the cold and objetive mind of the one historian or of novelist.The persons can be conquested with the use of the ideas and writen and spoken words even today also can be conquested with films and songs,with dress or with a new style of life based in the cultive of the culture,the science and the knowledge,also with the sports (football,basketball,baseball,race of cars,etc),all these empires are goods and inoffensive.But Mussolini had other idea for to build one empire,he didnīt want to use the power of writen word or spoken word,he only had intelligence for to use the brutal force,he preferred to use the guns and the aircrafts bombs for to conquest one empire.This form of conquest of the colonial empire signed to shed innocent blood,this question to Mussolini didnīt worry,here we can see the cruel character of the Duce,one man unable for to have a friend…"
