don't you bother.

After doing a lot of housekeeping on my blog, I started considering at what point do people convert their posts into actual page content if at all? Is there a blog etiquette? Does it make it easier for the casual reader to find information or do people actually like using Tags to navigate for information.

And, at what point do too many tags stop people browsing

So, for example is

Downtown Page

better than

Blog Search Tag

and don't bother about commenting on the Tags, I think I have too many but it is a question of trying to make it easier to navigate

I tend to put information in pages eg club details, adverts etc and specific stuff on blogs eg aars

My plan (when I was doing it) was… keep useful stuff in a wiki page, blog it.

The wiki was a huge mess and maybe I should go back to having straight webpages.

I think of a post as something I will do once and not update again – like a batrep. Pages I see as things that will be updated, gaming tools or groups of mini pictures that I will add to. I have no idea why I made that distinction, but it works for me.

No idea how to do pages so I just do posts! I always worry that if I mess round with the format everything will disappear!

Pages are simple because I keep them simple. I only use them to compile topics like role-playing campaign or character entries, or as a handy place to leave errata or game rules. Most of them are just an organized list of my posts with links.

No only are Pages obviously counted towards your page views (still less than 10% of mine in a good month), people do use them to find my posts.
