Hello again people

Now that I have made up my mind about my dwarves, it'll be a mix of Demonworld and Blood Dawn ones (I'll play with base thickness to make them match in size).
I am now asking for help to choose matching baddies.
And who's best/worst fighting against dwarves ? Green skins of course !!!
I already have a soft spot for the demonworld Orcs shown by Hetaroi in his painting topic. So here I am again asking for advise about your favorite Orcs, I would consider goblins also of course.

OOP (well, not really but essentially difficult to have your exact miniatures cast by classicminiatures.net – also see link ) but the Der Kriegspieler ones. Especially the smiley faced (shark teeth) Goblins.

Baring that semi-unrealistic goal, there are the back in production Iron Wind Metals/Ral Parths Giant Goblins thanks to Kickstarter. Nice and barbaric looking figures.

I've mixed Alternative Armies, Front Rank, Splintered Light, Tin Soldier (DFA20 etc) and cherry-picked Irregular and Essex figures for my orcs.

Got some wolf riders from ebay. Sadly don't know who they were from.
Used the Copplestone Castings wolves.

Have 4 (only 1 painted though). Excellent as a large unit really fastly painted.

And netters from Demonworld.

Khadrin, If you haven't bought the Blood Dawn dwarves yet, you might want to find some scale comparisons. The Blood Dawn dwarves are huge. They are taller and broader than most 15mm humans. They fit in better in 20mm scale.

With that said, for orcs, if you are looking for GW style orcs then Demonworld are the best.

If you are looking for Tolkien style, then Eureka and Khurasan are the best

Splintered Light is also good, but they don't have quite as many variants, however they are rapidly expanding.

Thanks Landorl

I am aware of that, but I bought some Blood Dawn dwarves already, a dozen or so. My goal being to play dwarves vs orcs with Song of Blades and Heroes rules. So atm, I am not really concerned with their scale. But you are right if later on I want to play with big army rules and have a nice looking dwarf army I will have to go smaller ones, maybe the demonworld ones. And thanks for the orc suggestions.

I have both Splintered Light and Demonworld Orcs and I think they mix together pretty well. I'd also recommend both companies for their service.
