I have posted today photos of my latest project, 1670. With the release of Legio Heroica's series of Imperial Troops, I began collecting French and Imperial forces for the campaigns in Germany and Alsace. link With the exception of a few specific regiments, the elements are rather generic. The flags add extra colour, but also bring a national identity to each army. These will be used with the DBA-HX 3.0. Cheers, Robert |

Great stuff! I've resisted the 1660s and 1670s for a long time, but it's getting harder. |

The period does have its charm; varied uniforms, flags, plumes and the use of pike. There is also a wide variety of conflicts; the Franco-Dutch war, the Scania war, the Austro-Turkish war, the Colonial conflicts in Africa and Asia and those of the Qing Dynasty. I will post the Imperial troops later today. Cheers, |

Looking great! Love the period and I really like how you based your figures for a DBx ruleset and still reflected the period. The era is one that really intrigues me, I have figures in 15mm and 10mm but still have yet to figure out rules and basing… |

Prince Albert, Earlier this year a group of DBA 3.0 enthusiasts (including myself) revised the DBA-HX variant to the new 3.0. This gave players the option for Horse and Musket games from 1700 to 1850 using the same mechanisms. This is available at the Fanaticus Resource page under Period Variants: link Recently, I have added an extension to cover the wars of Louis XIV or 1670 to 1699. The basic rules are done, but the army lists are still in draft form. These should be ready this Summer. Cheers, |
