Is there a manufacture that makes these? I'm aware of QRF's models' British Infantry , but they're all wearing beret. I don't want to have to make green stuff/putty helmets.

QRF did indicate at some point that they had the infantry in helmets ready, but they've never shown up as for sale.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Old Glory 25s, Command Decision, Moderns, British – has two packs – an infantry and a command pack/support weapons.

The OG ones are '90s – SA80s and Kevlar helmets. For the classic BAOR look I'm not sure there's much out there – some of the old MJ Figures stuff was helmeted, but not a huge amount:

Holding out for QRF [or harassing Geoff…. ;-) ]might be the best bet.

Not sure if it will help, but Peter Pig makes late WWII British seperate heads with helmets. Might work as the "turtleback" helmets latewar were superficially similar to the post-war helmets. Doesn't help with the SLR issues though!

Damon.

Harrassing Geoff has been my self appointed mission for several months now…if too many people pile in he may crack and mutter an expletive or two (He's far too nice a chap for anything more!)

But yes, the beret chaps paint up nicely, so my advice is wait for the ones with 'tin lids' to come out, any time now…any time now…any second…

Our helmets would look like a mobile bush, so you might try using a normal figure and using flock etc. The aim was always to break up the shape of the big metal thing!

Some good thoughts there – if you don't mind head swaps, Garand's suggestion's a winner – these heads onto the QRF figures.

Otherwise Nick's could also be a winner if you don't mind going the full shrubbery route…. ;-)

Chad has the figures. Some of th have started to appear. I'll chase him on the rest. I'm onto Canadians now :-)

I think there's one pack on the website – with LAWs.

Kenneth Portner21 May 2015 5:40 p.m. PST

Can't see any listed in the site. They all seem to have SA80's except the guys in beret who have SLR's.

PBI 5 (LAW), 11 (Sterling) and 12 (Bren) are up so far.

I may need to create a new folder level to slit them into SLR and SA80 equipped variants

Old Glory UK has their Falklands range that may suit. They seem to be hidden on the website…. Look under:

Thanks for the Falklands range suggestion. Looks like they'd work.

SLR are real guns, SAW are for nancies… :-)

I'm of the age where the iconic British infantryman wore DPM, a beret and carried an SLR.

If only my SLR SL'd… It was just an R…
