I don't have high hopes here, as they seem to have a very low profile even with the company that carries them, but thought I'd ask anyway. Sash and Saber has a line of 40mm Greeks made by Romanoff.

(Scroll down and you'll see them) So I'm curious, have any of you ever painted some up? If you did, I'd be interested to hear what your impressions were. I could always order a sample pack, of course, but thought I'd come here first. The idea of small hoplite battles in the larger scale is attractive to me--so this might be a fun summer project. Thank you for any help! |

I just bought a few of the 40mm Romanoff peltasts a couple of weeks ago. Whilst I haven't built or painted them yet, the models look quite good – well proportioned and with separate arms and heads to allow more variation. Can't speak for other items in the range, though. Hugh |

I have a bunch of these that I did up to go with my 40mm First Legion Greeks and Persians. Overall, I have had good results with the Romanoff Greeks and the seem to mix well with the others. |
