I don't have high hopes here, as they seem to have a very low profile even with the company that carries them, but thought I'd ask anyway. Sash and Saber has a line of 40mm Greeks made by Romanoff.

The only photos I've been able to find of them look rather nice to me:

So I'm curious, have any of you ever painted some up? If you did, I'd be interested to hear what your impressions were. I could always order a sample pack, of course, but thought I'd come here first. The idea of small hoplite battles in the larger scale is attractive to me--so this might be a fun summer project.

Thank you for any help!

I just bought a few of the 40mm Romanoff peltasts a couple of weeks ago. Whilst I haven't built or painted them yet, the models look quite good – well proportioned and with separate arms and heads to allow more variation. Can't speak for other items in the range, though.

Thank you, Hugh. At least that's a start!

I have a bunch of these that I did up to go with my 40mm First Legion Greeks and Persians. Overall, I have had good results with the Romanoff Greeks and the seem to mix well with the others.
