Found a few photos of my first Napoleonics and thought some others might like to have a look too:

Photo quality is pretty terrible but gives some idea of how I got started with Napoleonics and nice to reminisce :)

I have given the suggestion to a few about selling army's to keep a battalion or at least a few figures. Nice to show your old photos.

Cheers and yes maybe I should have 14Bore. :) Especially some of the conversions like Picton in his top hat, or the Wellington that I was quite proud of. At the same time I do see a few of my old wargaming figures floating around in other peoples collections where they get used, while for me they would just sit in the cupboard.

I saved some of mine which are almost 30 years old now. The original is the Waterloo Wargame by Airfix, bought in a little shop in Pontypridd Wales an 1977. My original Minifigs are mostly gone now, except Engineers, sappers, some wagons and pontoon train. How I wish I kept the rest.

Moving forward to the mid 80's, I still have many of my Connoisseur figures by Peter Gilder.

I'll be posting some of these in the near future.

Still have my old Airfix guys painted with testors enamel model paints somewhere in a box in the garage.

That's a nice set up, a good proper old school game that I would gladly play today over the monster convention Cecil B DeMill stuff of today

I have an old shoe box (Keds!) full of a bunch of scratch built Age of Sail models, c. 1975. Balsa & toothpick and thread purloined from Mon's sewing machine. For gunports I use thin strips of masking tape marked with a sharpie. I have a brig slightly longer than my thumbnail. I can't even see them now!
