Now that I have the scheme for my PzIII in Russia, what model or hobby store paint is the best for Panzer Grey? I did a search but got no hits.

I mostly use Vallejo or the Hobby Store paints like Creamacoat and Apple Barrel.

Thanks,

Terry

I use Ceramcoat Hippo grey. I don't know about the other craft paint brands.

Edit: I should add this is for 1/285 vehicles.

May I suggest Testers spray, titled panzer grey. It has worked for me for years. Most hobby stores will have it.

Second the Testors Panzer Gray, but I use it over a gray primer.

I mix mine.
Black, white, blue.
Mix in more white and fawn for highlighting.
Colour pictures make them look more sort of something dark-ish covered in fawn dust rather than panzer grey.

I've used VGC Stonewall Grey over black primer and it looked fine, especially once weathered, highlighted etc. It's worth using a base colour a bit lighter than the real thing, IMO, so that shading and washes actually show up.

I use craft paints and found one called 'Zinc' that is just perfect for panzer gray

Number4, I picked up a bottle of the Americana Zinc paint and you are right, it is an excellent match and looks great right out of the bottle. Thanks,

Terry
