Guys it just a encyclopedia entry. Not different from what you can find on Brittanica or Brittanica online. Clodfelter does not have it in his encyclopedia so that is an indicator of major issues on sources. I have asked a Turkish friend to help if he can. Kohn has it and it says the following (abridged) Abbas Mirza was trying to modernize his armies, and attacked the Ottomans because of their support for Azeri rebels. Decisive battle seems to be Battle of Erzerum in 1821. That is all it has. Maybe Dupay and Dupay have more. But that fact taht Clodefelter does not even have it in his, is a bad sign. Hopefully my Turkish friend can find info. |
