Any vendors?

tonantius Supporting Member of TMP13 May 2015 9:24 a.m. PST

Unfortunately, o. We don't have the room.

tonantius Supporting Member of TMP13 May 2015 9:24 a.m. PST

But there is a flea market on Sunday morning.

Col Durnford Supporting Member of TMP13 May 2015 11:02 a.m. PST

The flea market is very tempting.

Thanks,

Vince

Is the flea market for club members only?

goragrad13 May 2015 6:04 p.m. PST

Hasn't been in the past.

Or at least I have been allowed to buy items in the past when between memberships…

goragrad14 May 2015 2:25 a.m. PST

By the way StoneMtn, you wouldn't happen to have any of those Chariot ancients still around?

I could really use 10 Midianite camel archers (or at least the camels).

Col Durnford Supporting Member of TMP14 May 2015 6:20 a.m. PST

I hope we get a clear ruling on this.

Personal logo Dye4minis Supporting Member of TMP14 May 2015 10:43 a.m. PST

If it was put to a vote, me, (as a liftime member of CMH), I would vote for letting anyone who attends to be able to buy from the flea market. Afterall, isn't the idea to get more historical miniature gamers together? Seems like members selling off their surplus would have a better chance of going home without more if they did.

Hope the meet is a lot of fun for all! Still skipping the May meeting due to Mother's Day?

best to all,
Tom Dye

goragrad14 May 2015 12:35 p.m. PST

I am guessing Mr. Dye that StoneMtn might be looking to sell.

Personal logo Dye4minis Supporting Member of TMP14 May 2015 2:17 p.m. PST

I would sure hope Dave Babb would bring some of his wares to sell there! But most likely, Dave might just want to sell off some goodies, like most of us did (do), to thin out his collection. (Dave's been a gamer too, and has probably had his share of period mood swings, just like the rest of us!).

Even if you didn't find that pack of East Slobavian, left-handed grenadiers you were looking for in the flea market, the flea market always gives a good excuse to have some really great conversations with new folks.

I did notice that tonantius did mention that space was at a premimum at the Baker Center so one must control the useage of the available space carefully and fairly. Unlike a one-day event in the UK, the emphasis is on participation games- NOT a trade show. A balance needs to be had and I am glad "I" don't have to make those tough calls!

Non-members can come and buy. Only members (including lifetime) can sell. I will be collecting dues and they are $35 USD per year.

Col Durnford Supporting Member of TMP15 May 2015 5:16 a.m. PST

Thanks for the ruling. I would have hated to come on up only to be told I couldn't buy anything.
