His house his rules besides it was only a 14.5mm. I think that gives him a reroll for morale in Flame of War. In IABSM I think its a plus 1. |

Yup automatic pin in IABSM. Young Kims sliding towards full on Bond villain status all the time isnt he? How long before someones strapped to an SA6 and fired off? Is north korea warm enough for sharks? I imagine theyve probably got tigers… |

Apparently it was a ZPU-4 (quad 14.5mm) at a range of 30 metres. The reported offense? "Falling asleep during a meeting and showing disrespect to Kim." |
Guthroth | 13 May 2015 8:51 a.m. PST |
yes, but if it mirrored what they think happened in October it was a battery of 6 of them !! Anyone fancy doing it as a diorama in 15mm ? |

He seems to be emulating Stalin. It should make it much easier to defeat him when the time comes. |

Messy as it seems, being hit by 14.7mm rounds is probably quick and painless. Wasn't really that long ago when the Brits were executing Indian Mutiny perps by canon. |

A circular firing squad and the guest of honor in the middle. Sounds like a good way to get rid of the victims and the executioners. No witnesses. Pretty clever. |

Wasn't really that long ago when the Brits were executing Indian Mutiny perps by canon. Interesting how this particular form of execution is solely associated with the British, despite having been used by native Indian rulers for about 2-300 years before the Europeans gained power in India. The method was actually used far more widely by the Portuguese empire, and was still being used by the Afghans in the 1930s. The British only used this form of punishment between 1760 and 1870, after which it was abolished (interestingly, one of the reasons for its adoption was that it was considered more humane than the most common forms of execution then known). Even during the Indian Mutiny, it was far more usual for mutineers to be hanged or shot by firing squad (90+%). Also worth noting that courts-martial issuing this punishment were usually composed of Indian, not European, officers. |

I have to admit that I wondered how 145 years "wasn't really that long ago" myself. However I didn't feel it worth correcting, Supercilius Maximus didn't obviously feel as laid back. Fatman |

Mind you I'd take the AA gun any day over this!! link or even this (from Wikpedia) "In the late 1990s, a number of Korean People's Army generals were executed by being soaked in gasoline and then burned alive inside the Rungrado 1st of May Stadium in the capital Pyongyang". |

Not so fast guys, apparently this is all unconfirmed: North Korea defense chief was purged, maybe not executed, says Seoul's spy agency The National Intelligence Service revised its statement hours after claiming Hyon was believed to be dead.SEOUL, May 13 (UPI) -- South Korea's spy agency said it cannot confirm the execution of North Korea defense chief Hyon Yong Chol, hours after making the opposite claim to South Korean lawmakers. South Korean lawmaker Shin Kyoung-min, who said Hyon was seen attending a concert in Pyongyang just a day or two before his alleged execution, questioned the claim. "We've seen Hyon even yesterday on TV," Shin said Wednesday. "If North Korea really executed their No. 2 man in charge of defense, they would make sure he disappears on every single program. That's definitely their style." By late afternoon, the spy agency revised its statement, saying Hyon was purged, but maybe not executed. "We do have intelligence information that he had been killed by gunfire but that is yet to be verified," a spy agency spokesman told ABC. upi.com/Top_News/World-News/2015/05/13/North-Korea-defense-chief-was-purged-maybe-not-executed-says-Seouls-spy-agency/1931431522581 |
