We have a report and game run through up on Lard Island for our forthcoming release, Fighting Season, a modern Iraq and Afghanistan supplement for Chain of Command.

You can find it here:

I don't do current (or even recent) wars but this is impressive.

Thank you Vincent. Credit must go to our chum Leigh Neville in Australia for running this project for us. His knowledge of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan is encyclopaedic and it's been fun to work together on the rules.

I am VERY pleased that we've been able to change the nature and feel of the game without moving far from the core Chain of Command rules. That will make it so much simpler for players to pick up the rules and just play.

Any word on a possible release date for these rules? I would love to get a few games in before my son deploys.

Looking at a planned release at Salute so April 2016 at this stage. If you contact Lardies via their website or me via the contact page at leighneville.com we can see what we can do to get you playing before your son deploys.

With Salute just around the corner, what's the chance of seeing these rules released?

Very much looking forward to these!

….. Also an indication of sound fundamental game mechanics IMO.

Very Nice models, etc. !

TacPainter, there is sadly no chance of FS being out for Salute as real world issues conspired to rob Rich of his writing time and forced him to revise his plans. Sharpe Practice 2 will be out this month and FS later this year.

Thanks Thomas – that's OK, gives me time to paint more figures and make more scenery LOL.
