Hi Everyone

We have flicked the 'on' switch for our Nickstarter pre-order program for Frostgrave, the game of fantasy wargames in the Frozen City. Read all about it here:

Nice looking models, would be hard to pick which wizard to use.

NickNorthStar10 May 2015 11:42 a.m. PST

Yeah, I'm not sure yet either. The Necromancer and Elementalist are good 'magic missile' exponents. I'm thinking of the Sigilist, just because I rarely use female characters.

Redroom10 May 2015 11:45 a.m. PST

necromancer and witch set are probably my favs, but I would have to play a "good" wizard personally. Probably enchanter with knight and templar as part of my troops.

PiersBrand10 May 2015 11:52 a.m. PST

Can we use Paypal to pay Nick?

NickNorthStar10 May 2015 2:46 p.m. PST

Yes, just email northstarfigs@googlemail.com and let me know what you want. I'll send a request back.

Ace… cheers Nick.

Nice…..I am in.
I like North star products and this is a great way to get a box full at one time

Looks good and the release dates on my birthday, must be a sign!

I don't do Kickstarters. But this is a "Nickstarter" – which is much more secure than Kickstarter. I'm already in!!!

BTW – when do we tell you which wizard we want?

Cyrus the Great11 May 2015 10:17 a.m. PST

Lon, when will you post the U.S. details for the Nickstarter?

ordinarybass11 May 2015 4:11 p.m. PST

Interesting. Are there any sprue pics of the plastic soldiers?

Are these multipart like a GW kit or in the sense that each mini comes in a couple of parts?

Cyrus the Great11 May 2015 6:05 p.m. PST

I believe they are bodies that you attach the arms and head on.

Cyrus the Great11 May 2015 6:32 p.m. PST

So our box set is designed to allow you to do that. In the box there are 4 'frames' of plastic. Each frame has:
•5 bodies
•10 heads
•25 different arms/ weapons
•2 shields
•+ selection of bags & equipment."

NickNorthStar11 May 2015 11:44 p.m. PST

Please tell us which wizard you want when you place the order. If you haven't, email the choice to the mail order address, we'll sort it from there.

NickNorthStar11 May 2015 11:46 p.m. PST

Cyrus is right, it's a torso and legs that different arms and heads are attached to. The frame isn't ready yet, still a couple of weeks before we see the test frame. The moulds were on show at Salute on the Renedra stand.

It looks terrific, but I am wondering about US orders, as the 25% postage is a bit of a speed bump.

The Nickstarter is available in the U.S. through Brigade Games, I assume their shipping is cheaper. Also, I think if you order via Northstar before June 15, the U.S. shipping is capped at £9.00 GBP

Ivan DBA12 May 2015 6:54 p.m. PST

Looks like shipping in the U.S. from Brigade is free is you order before June 15. brigadegames.3dcartstores.com

Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the info Nick and Cyrus,
Not interested in buying another game right now, but I might well buy a box of soldiers when they're released.

IvanDBA – thanks for posting that link – my wallet will shrink
