For the seventh or eighth time, I am co-leading a walking tour of the Perryville, Kentucky battlefield. This battlefield has grown from a 98 acre state park to having over 1400 acres now saved, much of which has been open for interpretation. The walking tour itself has been expanded to two days (Friday and Saturday) and will also include local noted author Stuart Sanders leading part of the tour and giving a talk on the aftermath of the battle on Saturday evening. Come for one or both days and enjoy this pristine gem in central Kentucky. Details can be found on my blog: link |

This is a great battlefield to visit. You can easily see the two strategies and follow the flow of the battle. |

Perryville is one battlefield that I'm glad I walked. With the hills and valleys it great to see the way terrain influenced the fighting. |
