I have finally seen that the BBC will be showing the Danish TV series '1864' starting at 21:00 on Saturday 16 May. Huzzah! I am looking forward to this. And 'Jonathon Strange and Mr Norrel' starts the day after. Feast and famine, it is always the way.

Saw the first two episodes and unfortunately I have been put off by the unnecessary and ahistorical filth the lefty director decided to subject us to. A great regret as I had been looking forward to this for months.

Well your loss but also your right. Tally ho.

How do you know the filth was ahistoric? Perhaps it was highly authentic filth.
