Some of the members of Frothers can't stand Bill and his moderating style. They will never like him. That will not change.
Some of the Frothers find the right leaning politics on here hard to stomach, especially the UM board. That will not change.
Some of the Frothers don't care, they just don't like the atmosphere here, or some of the posters here. They also don't go to some others forums because of some posters.That will not change.
Some, like me, don't give a monkeys either way and frequent both boards, among others. That will not change.

So what exactly else do you want to talk about?

Considering John the OFM posted on Frothers today, go and post as a guest. Discuss whatever you want to discuss. Discuss the imagined "war" between TMP and Frothers and how many over there will have no idea of what you're talking about.

I/we succeed in posting there maybe once every 10 days or so as a guest. Most of the time I get a message that I am a notorious SPAMmer because of my IP address. Today I was lucky. Or not.

I am trying to think as to what's stopping you going to Frothers. What does this link link give you?

If Don kyoteblue was as determined as Winston Smith/John the OFM was to post on Frothers, he could do it.

I don't think DK WANTS to do any of this necessarily, but I think I read he was asked to do so.

1: Who are you going to "open a dialogue with"?
2: Like the communists that signed the Paris Peace Agreement over the Vietnam War, do you really, REALLY expect them to follow it and live up to it?
3: If they want to discuss wargames, then they can on their site, and if they wanted to on this site I believe they could, (as well as LAF), but be honest dude…you want to talk about more than just "discussing wargames".

4: If you really want a forum where people can talk with each other, try a chatroom, or skype, or yahoo chat, or something…..

You yourself have already said that "It's a fool's errand", so the question I would ask you is, "If you know this, WHY do you keep trying?"

Meh. I stopped caring a long time ago. This "war" has not affected me in the least. I don't go there and never will.And like many others feel that a "dialog" would just be useless and pointless..

I can't even change my password on Frothers without that happening. It doesn't seem to matter as I can still login anyway.

What JezEger says is quite correct, and having read the Editors commission, I suspect he may be pulling your leg. Always hard to read tone into internet posts though.

If he(they) asked you to jump off a bridge would you do it? He's not the boss of you. Just say "no." You're a Supporting Member. You pay cash to help keep the site going. So in a sense The Editor(s) work for you. Tell him(them) to do his(their) own dirty work.

All that these Frothers threads seem to achieve is to boost the post count.
